On October 29th 2023, Shasta Johnson, the president of LGBTQ+ Rolla came as a special guest. She gave the UU an update on the growth of the organization, as well how they have been dealing with the city council discussions on banning drag shows. Shasta also gave some ideas to the UU on how to be allies to LGBTQ individuals, as well as advice on how to react to pushback on the OWL sex education program.
