Imbolc

This Sunday the UU fellowship celebrated Imbolc, Candlemas, Groundhogs day. February 2nd marks the halfway point between winter solstice and the spring equinox. This day can symbolize either that spring is coming early, or that winter has not yet finished, depending on the tradition. Some traditions say that if the sun is out on February 2nd, winter’s coming to an end soon. Others say the opposite, that if the sun is shining it is only a respite and winter will still go on. This Sunday we celebrated by sharing our hopes and intentions for the year as well as reflections on the year before. Alisha shared a video with group that was very powerful.
