This is an exciting opportunity for extraordinary people this summer! Usually every summer–from Memorial Day to Labor Day–there are no enlightening, educational programs at the UUFR (Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Rolla), but instead are intellectual get togethers: 11 AM-12 PM teatime/coffee hour. But this time many sermons from the UUA General Assembly, procured by UUFR patrons, are available until late in August! This means every Sunday there will be another worldly or personal concern to be explored and absorbed.
Every lecture video is fulfilling and enriching for all walks of life. Included are song, language & imagery that is inclusive and peaceful in nature. There is no focus on any one religion but there are many, many human rights topics to discuss. This is a necessity for communities anywhere. Topics include interfaith community/info, LGBTQ+, feminism, racial justice, immigration, disability & access, youth, mental health, elderly, Gaza/Ukraine/war, houselessness, equity, indigenous safety, self-health/discovery, education, environmental justice, leaderless congregations, eco-socialism/poverty connection/economic circulatory system, science, democracy, and faith in life (for any path, spiritual or not).
If you would like some encouragement to be yourself, bond with others or the life you’re in, come join us at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship for interesting speeches that feel like expensive meditations. Conversation and community should not cost money, so do yourself a favor and enrich your life. If you don’t get any real talk in your daily life, you will get it here. These are conversations that are very hard to get anywhere else. If you live near Rolla, community is not far away! Videos 11 AM-12 PM on Sundays.
