The General Assembly video we chose was about making room for caregivers and their children. Unlike other churches we heard a lot about “offerings” as opposed to “asks.” Instead of putting any more on any caregiver’s plate, make sure there are activities or collaborative service provided. Churches need a “vibe check” and justice-making productivity as well as worship services. We need to be supporting full participation of all ages and expose growing people to supporting all ages as well. It will never be a “one size fits all” situation if our fellowship wants a union with multiple people in a community. This “church” will be a “love gang” as opposed to any damaging roots people come from. We, as a fellowship, hope to keep having this conversation about inclusion because more needs to be done. Even without a leader, we intend to keep striving to build people up and thoughts are welcome. There will be more on this topic another day.
