Note: The following is a list of resources relating to People of Color (POC). It was created to fight the erasure of POC in the overall LGBT community. A good deal of the information on this page was difficult to obtain. If you would like to suggest information on this topic, please contact the Fellowship via email at rollaUUfellows@gmail.com If you have information about Transgender POC, any that you share would be greatly appreciated. Research in this specific area has been particularly challenging.

The National Black Justice Coalition
The National Black Justice Coalition is a civil rights organization dedicated to empowering Black lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender people.

Resources page of the National Black Justice Coalition
Has a number of NBJC produced reports dealing with LBTQ rights and advocacy in general and with the African American LBTQ community in particular. Includes information of spirituality and church life, family, and marriage equality.

LGBT People of Color GLAAD (Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation) blog
This blog focuses on news stories in the media at large relating to LGBT People of Color. It belongs to the Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD). GLAAD “is the principal organization that works directly with news media, entertainment media, cultural institutions and social media. Through the undeniable power of the media – whether it’s your favorite TV show, telenovela or local newspaper – or even on the sports field or through an online petition with hundreds of thousands of signatures, GLAAD is there advancing the stories that need to be told and that make real change.”
