Sunday, November 9, 2014, UUFR held a Dedication of a Peace Pole to Commemorate the Centennial of the First World War. The ceremony was opened with a reading of “In Flanders Fields” by John McCrae and closed with the handing out of poppies and a reading of “We Shall Keep the Faith” by Moina Michael.
The Rolla Area Citizens for Women (RACW) Book Club met today at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Rolla. We finished “The Narrative of Sojourner Truth” and enjoyed a Tollhouse Pie.
The next RACW Book Club will be around February or March 2015, depending on the weather. We will keep folks in the know about meetings and deciding our next book.
